Introducing the Sideline Wrap, a flair-for-your-hair and head dreamed up by Side Eye Witness (Rachel from Spincycle) and inspired by the addictive Fogline Stitch pattern. This versatile wrap is designed for knitters who love to have a project in their hands while they spectate, making it the perfect companion for any event that floats your boat!
The Sideline Wrap is knitted flat and features icord edging and a button for fastening. Sometimes I use the button but sometimes I let the long ends trail down my back or tie it up and go. ❤️
Yarn
Color A (red): 1 skein The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers Soka’pii (Fingering weight, 100% Non-Superwash Wool, 248 yards / 227 meters per 50 g) in Pretty Shield
Color B (blue, white, orange, and gray): 1 skein Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool (Sport weight, 100% Superwashed American Wool, 200 yards / 183 meters) in Castaway
OR approximately 248 yards / 227 meters of fingering weight yarn for Color A and approximately 200 yards / 183 meters of sport weight yarn for Color B.
Gauge
32 stitches and 49 rows = 4″ / 10 cm in the Basket Stitch Pattern worked flat.
Suggested Needles
US Size 3 / 3.25 mm circular, 16″ / 40 cm length, or size needed to obtain gauge.
The wrap is worked flat, so straight needles work too.
Sizes
One size. Width 3.5″ / 9 cm (at full width after the increases are complete), length 49″ / 124.5 cm, after blocking.
