For this Wardrobe-Workhorse, Stash-Manager Cardigan, I decided to pile up the yarns from my stash in the same weight, that had been dyed some version of yellow and make the most of those skeins! I used one main color to ground the speckles and that’s the one that I used for the button band, cuffs and bottom ribbing too. I used one colorway to knit the yoke and then began striping two colors after I separated for the sleeves. Using similar colors for the striping made a fade. Using two contrasting colors for the striping would create striped fabric. That would be very cool too!
I cropped this cardigan but some testers made it longer. It features a sturdy, three stitch raglan seam and is worked in reverse stockinette from the top down. Three-quarter length sleeves are worked flat and then seamed for speed and strength.
22 stitches and 34 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Reverse Stockinette Stitch on larger needles.
